📚 Meet our trainer for Universal Care Services, RandL Healthcare and Carewatch 📚

Here at Universal, we have a handful of trainers, one of them being Estelle. Estelle has been with us since 2018, but was a healthcare trainer before this, starting her journey in 2016.

We did a quick interview with Estelle to find out what encouraged her to become a trainer and the parts of the job she enjoys.

How did you get into healthcare training?
"I became a healthcare trainer in 2016 prior to joining the company, I was working for an agency and challenged the manager about the level of care some carers were delivering. He challenged me back by saying “If you think you can do a better job of training them feel free……….challenge accepted”"

What made you apply for this job role?
"I joined Universal Care Services in 2018 as I night carer for the Worcester Branch and when Covid hit agreed to move into the office and do some of the training and the rest became History."

Why do you enjoy training our future carers?
"The girls in Worcester aren’t colleagues they are family, but over the last 2 years of being a regional trainer for the company that family has grown and I enjoy going to all the branches, I’m lucky, we have some really great people working in our offices supporting the carers and I have met some fantastic people over the years. Every week is a different challenge with a new set of people joining the company and we have some real characters working with us."

Estelle is a real asset to our team and a joy to work with. We are very grateful to have her as a part of our training team.

Testimonials

I started with R & L Healthcare in March 2016 as a HCA for a 24 hour package. Within the first year, I was offered the opportunity to apply for the position of Senior Healthcare Assistant, which I was successful and this role then opened plenty of opportunities for myself. I went on to undertake training to become an Assessor and became part of the office staff within 6 months.

I was offered full time Care Coordinator position, which I am currently still in alongside being an in-house trainer, training in moving and handling, medication and end of life care. I have achieved all of this within 3 years and I am very grateful to R & L Healthcare for the amazing opportunities they have offered me so far and I enjoy working for such a professional company.

Kellie (Care Coorindator)

I feel privileged to be part of a team working in end of life care.

Chrstine (Care Assistant)

Since joining R & L Healthcare in November 2018, I have been given endless opportunities and support to help develop my career and further expand my accounting knowledge. I am proud to work for a company that helps the staff thrive!

Henna (Accounts Assistant)

Can’t thank you enough for all the care that you gave to our wonderful dad (grandad) Geroge. You have all been amazing and dad was really grateful to each one of you that met him.
